Fitness Classes

Bespoke mat-work studio

Price: £12 per hour for the group classes. Minimum number of classes folk may sign up for is 6.

Bespoke lessons are an alternative to group classes. We use matwork, small and large equipment. Learn what you can do in your every-day life that will enable you keep up your new well-being, strength and suppleness.

We are back for pilates after Christmas on the 5th January 2015 but please contact us during the holiday period and we will get back to you as soon as we can. You are welcome to join us on any date that is suitable for you, it does not have to be the first day the studio re-opens after Christmas.

Clothing: A welcoming hello! Re clothing:  any clothing that makes you feel totally comfortable and preserves your modesty is perfect as there are times when we are all lying on the floor with every chance of our underpants being on display. Full length jogging bottoms or leggings are great or, for men, cycling shorts with a second baggy pair over the top.

An extra layer/sleeves for your upper half that you can take off once you have warmed up is great too.


Equipment: Absolutely everything is provided at the studio, including different heights of pillow. We have all the equipment you will need, – magic circles, foam rollers, bands etc.


Water: In the studios only water in strong glass or plastic bottles is permitted. A mains cold-water tap and glasses are available, as are hot drinks, e.g. coffee, tea, herb teas, if you arrive early and wish to make yourself a drink. All drinks can be enjoyed in the waiting room, garden-facing room or garden itself in the Summer. Please ask Rosemary if you would like any particular refreshment and she will gladly get it for you.

Footwear: As the main goal is to protect all and maximize the benefits of every exercise we ask that everyone must wear a fresh pair of socks in the studios for hygiene and protective purposes that have not been worn at all that day. So please pop an extra pair into your car, your pocket or bag or briefcase on the day of your pilates class. Two pairs of socks in the winter can be cosy.

Please be fastidious about checking that your feet have got no infections what so ever otherwise apply dressings and keep covered as we need to work in bare feet for some exercises and it would be dreadful to infect the studio and your pilates class. Many thanks
